Hey! I just thought I’d ask what things you would like to know about with respect to being a parent of younger kids who are in sports. I want to make sure you get good value from these articles and they’re helpful to you. Let me know what you want to know more about.
I have been training youth aged athletes for over 30 years as a certified coach. I’m also a parent of a boy and a girl, both who played competitive sports and continue to play sports into their young adult lives. Over the past 10 years I have been more of a sport developer and done parenting seminars for sport and non-sporting parents. There is so much that I’ve learned, mistakes I’ve learned from and I’d love to pass everything on to others.
If you’re not sure, here are some ideas of topics you’d like to hear more about.
- What to look for in a good sport program for my kid(s)
- Advice on how to navigate the sports world to ensure my kid gets the best for him/her
- Sport Canada’s new research on how to develop athletes for greater success (Long Term Athlete Development model)
- How to ensure future success of my kid(s) on and off the field
I look forward to hearing from you!
